Delete your CredMinder account

Last Updated: September 22, 2026

CredMinder is a credential and license tracker published by Be Prepared Education LLC. This page explains how to delete your CredMinder account, what we delete when you do, and the few records we keep afterwards.

You can delete your account yourself, from the app or from the web. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need a reason.

How to delete your account

In the CredMinder app (iPhone, iPad, and Android)

  1. Open CredMinder.
  2. On the Credentials screen, tap the settings (gear) icon in the top corner.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of Settings, to the section headed DANGER ZONE.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Read the confirmation, then tap Delete Forever.

If you have a paid subscription, the confirmation also asks you to tick a box confirming that you understand you must cancel the subscription separately. See Cancel your subscription separately below.

In the CredMinder web app

  1. Go to credminder.bepreparededu.com and sign in.
  2. Open the account menu in the top corner and choose Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm in the box that appears by selecting Delete Account again.

If you cannot sign in

If you have lost access to your account and cannot reach either screen above, email us at support@bepreparededu.com from the email address on the account, and ask us to delete it. We will check that the request came from the account holder and complete it within 30 days. You can also reach us through the contact form.

Deletion is immediate and permanent

When you confirm, the account is deleted straight away. There is no grace period, no recovery window, and no way to undo it. We cannot restore a deleted account or the credentials that were in it.

If you want to keep a copy of anything, export it before you delete. You can export an individual credential as a PDF from that credential's page.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, and only the store that charged you can stop the charges. If you do not cancel, you will keep being billed after the account is gone.

Cancel there first, then delete your account.

What we delete

When your account is deleted, we remove all of the following:

WhatWhen
Your sign-in accountImmediately
Every credential you saved — names, expiration dates, ID numbers, and notesImmediately
Every credential image and PDF document you uploadedImmediately
Your name and email addressImmediately
Your subscription entitlement records, which recorded what your plan let you useImmediately
Support requests you sent us from the account's email addressImmediately
Your contact record with our email provider, so we stop holding your address and stop emailing youImmediately
Your Apple sign-in token, revoked with Apple, if you signed in with AppleImmediately

A support request you sent from some other email address is not removed automatically, because nothing connects it to your account. Tell us and we will delete it by hand.

What we keep, and for how long

A small number of records outlive the account. None of them contains your credentials, your images, or the contents of your notes.

What we keepWhyHow long
A marker that the account existed — that it was deleted, when it was deleted, when it was created, and which product it was created through. It holds no name and no email address. So that a deleted account stays distinguishable from one that never existed.Indefinitely
Purchase records held by RevenueCat, the service that processes our subscriptions. Some accounts were historically merged together at RevenueCat, so deleting one automatically could remove a different person's subscription record.Until you ask us to remove yours, which we do by hand after checking. Otherwise per RevenueCat's own retention policy
Our order records — an internal account reference, the amount paid, and the date. No name, no email address. We have to be able to account for money we took.Indefinitely, as accounting records
Copies of your emails to us in our support mailbox. The support records in our database are deleted; the mailbox copies are separate. They have to be removed by hand.Until you ask us to remove them
Your unsubscribe record, if you ever unsubscribed from our email — your address and the time you did it.So we can show your opt-out was honoured, and so a later import cannot add you back.Indefinitely
Our internal log of significant events — that an account was created, that a support request arrived and its subject line, that an unsubscribe was honoured, and that the account was deleted. It holds no credential data and no message text.It is the record that these things happened, including the deletion itself.Indefinitely
Analytics and crash data, which is aggregated and cannot be traced back to you.To understand how the app is used and why it crashes.About 14 months for analytics events, 90 days for crash reports

If you also want the RevenueCat purchase records or the support mailbox copies removed, say so when you delete your account — email support@bepreparededu.com and ask. We will remove them by hand and confirm when it is done.
