Be Prepared Education LLC (“Company”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect in connection with the purchase of the Local Continuity System (“LCS”) and how we use that information.
2. The LCS Software Itself
LCS collects no data from you. The software runs entirely on your local hardware. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no phone-home behavior, no cloud sync, and no external communication of any kind. All data created within LCS remains on your device and under your control. We have no access to your operational data, map data, asset records, personnel information, or logs.
3. Information We Collect at Purchase
When you purchase LCS, our payment processor (Stripe) collects the information necessary to process your transaction, including: name, email address, billing address, and payment information. This information is processed and stored by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and a record of the transaction, but we do not store or have access to your full payment details.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we receive from Stripe solely to: deliver your purchased product (via download link), communicate about your purchase (receipts, download instructions), provide version update notifications for the 1.x branch, and respond to support inquiries you initiate.
5. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails beyond purchase-related communications. We do not track your usage of LCS. We do not use cookies for advertising or behavioral tracking on our product pages.
6. Data Retention
We retain your purchase record (name, email, transaction date, edition purchased) for the duration of your license to facilitate update delivery and verify license status if needed. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@bepreparededu.com.
7. Third-Party Services
Our website and purchase flow use the following third-party services: Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting and security). Each operates under its own privacy policy. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking or advertising service.
8. Children's Privacy
LCS is not marketed to or intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
