West Virginia-Specific Notes
- 4-year state / 2-year NREMT dual cycle. State certification lasts 4 years, but NREMT must remain current on its standard 2-year cycle. Both must be maintained.
- All CE goes through NREMT transcript. The state relies on NREMT for CE tracking and verification.
- State Licensed Only (SLO) providers must also maintain an NREMT account for CE tracking purposes.
- Submit renewal 90 days before expiration. This is an unusually early deadline compared to most states.
- Mandatory HazMat and MCI training beyond standard NCCP topics.
- CAPCE-accredited courses accepted.
- Current CPR certification required at all levels.
