|---|---|---|
| EMR | 16 | 1.6 hours |
| EMT | 40 | 4 hours |
| AEMT | 50 | 5 hours |
| Paramedic | 60 | 6 hours |
Minnesota-Specific Notes
- NREMT will be required by 2036. Minnesota is transitioning toward requiring NREMT certification at all provider levels. Plan ahead.
- NREMT shortcut. If you renew through NREMT first, you just transfer your NREMT transcript and supporting documents to the eLicense portal. No need to enter CE details twice.
- March 31 deadline is firm. All certifications expire March 31 of the expiration year.
- Reinstatement available for certifications expired less than 4 years. A temporary provision (through December 31, 2025) allowed reinstatement for certifications expired 4–10 years.
- Download your certification card from the eLicense portal after approval. No physical cards mailed.
- CAPCE-accredited courses accepted.
- Community Paramedic certification available for paramedics who complete additional approved training.
